Cardiology
Angioplasty
It is used to correct blocked or constricted arteries by the effects of plaque. The surgery restores the proper blood flow to the arteries.
Coronary angiogram
Procedure used to diagnose and/or treat conditions affecting the patient’s blood vessels. A special dye is introduced in the blood of the patient to allow an x-ray machine to quickly take a series of images called “angiograms”, that allow medical professionals to have a detailed look at the coronary vessel system and diagnose possible obstructions.
Pacemaker
This is a mechanism that sends electrical pulses to the heart, aiding in its proper pacing and functioning. By stimulating the heart with electric impulses, this mechanism can alleviate heart conditions and help it in pumping and circulating blood throughout the body.
